It’s the Audley way to deliver an exceptional but flexible service in everything we do. And that includes the food. It will be your job to develop exciting, innovative menus for the bistro and restaurant at the lovingly converted heritage site in (location). From traditional Sunday lunch, afternoon tea, even a five-course taster menu, you’ll create it all, mentoring your talented kitchen team as you do so. Of course, as well as creating delicious food, you’ll also ensure your kitchen is delivering a healthy profit and is run to the most scrupulous H&S standards. There’ll be admin, too, from ordering stock and drawing up rotas to making sure daily HACCP checklists are completed. A customer-friendly Chef, you’ll be happy to work with anyone from an owner or a regular customer who wants a customised dish, to your local marketing manager who’s looking to create a special menu for an event.
You have an impressive level of culinary knowledge and skills built up in the high-quality restaurants you’ve worked in. As well as a real passion for creating exceptional food, and strong team building and mentoring skills, you also have the ambition and drive to develop the reputation of a restaurant. You’ve managed a kitchen team before, you’ll be happy to talk to customers and owners, you are used to meeting targets, controlling wastage, and delivering good GP percentages. You also have a Food Hygiene level 4 qualification and a good level of IT literacy. Helpful, customer-friendly and flexible, you have all the skills we’re looking for.
